Habitat for Tomorrow is Launched with “Spot & Report”

07 February 2020, Ajman: Habitat Schools is launching its social responsibility project “Habitat for Tomorrow” with a student scheme for reporting shopping trolleys, “Spot & Report”.
“Habitat for Tomorrow” is an attempt to bring the school community, comprising students, teachers, parents and the management, around projects for the well-being of the society and thus create a platform for giving back to the society. The scheme will include environmental projects for forestation, waste management and pollution control, community service including visits to old age homes, mental asylums, hospitals for the poor and bringing people together through conversations across cultures and social categories.
“Tomorrow has to be a tomorrow of every single one; together we grow. Habitat Schools are committed to that idea and Habitat for Tomorrow is our latest step for such a vision”, said the Chairman of the school, Sheikh Sultan Al Nuaimi.
The school already has a charity arm, “Habitat for Hope” and a unique summer assignment project “Let’s Grow this Summer”, through which 15531 trees were planted, 15,439 hospitals/poor homes were visited, 53,946 new interactions happened with elders.
“When a school takes up such a project through its students, it reaches several families and that is a way in which we can make a huge difference. The ideation for the project and execution will be through a participatory programme in which teachers, students, parents and our consultants will participate”, said the Managing Director Shamsu Zaman C. T.

‘Spot-Report’, the launching programme, is a student led project that seeks to address this issue. It creates a system of reporting abandoned trolleys lying around in public spaces due to carelessness of some while others struggle looking for these. Not only that super/hypermarket/mall personnel have to spend enormous amounts of time and energy going around spotting these and bringing them back. The primary intention through this project is to connect students to social responsibility tasks. It helps in changing student attitude towards the and instills civil sense and responsibility in them.

This initiative led by students seeks to involve parents, Habitat community members and the wider society to create a reporting mechanism whereby trolleys lying around will be reported in real time with location to concerned super/hyper markets, enabling quick recovery. A centralized whatsapp number +971 56 14 15 166 is allotted for the same.

Anyone who spots a trolley can report it to this number. The school has already tied up with major retailers like Carrefour, Lulu, Nesto, Xpressions Style-Safeer, Safari, Ajman Cooperative Society, Kenz, Grand Mall and have received an encouraging response from them.

വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ , അധ്യാപകർ , രക്ഷകർത്താക്കൾ , സ്കൂൾ മാനേജ്മെന്റ് എന്നിവർ അടങ്ങുന്ന വിദ്യാലയ സമൂഹത്തെ വിവിധ സാമൂഹിക പ്രതിബദ്ധതയുള്ള  പദ്ധതികളിലൂടെ സമൂഹത്തിന് തിരികെ എന്തെങ്കിലും കൊടുത്തുവീട്ടാനുള്ള പ്രക്രിയയിൽ പങ്കാളികളാക്കാനാണ് “ഹാബിറ്റാറ്റ് ഫോർ ടുമോറോ” ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത്. വന വൽക്കരണത്തിനായുള്ള പരിസ്ഥിതി പദ്ധതികൾ , മാലിന്യ ക്രമീകരണ പദ്ധതികൾ  , മലിനീകരണ നിയന്ത്രണം , വൃദ്ധ സംരക്ഷണ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ- മാനസികാരോഗ്യ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ – പാവങ്ങൾക്കായുള്ള ആശുപത്രികൾ തുടങ്ങിയവുടെ സന്ദർശനം , വിവിധ സംസ്കാരത്തിലും വിഭാഗങ്ങളിലുമായി കഴിയുന്നവരെ ചർച്ചകളിലൂടെ അനുനയിപ്പിച്ച് ഒന്നിച്ചുചേർക്കൽ തുടങ്ങിയ സാമൂഹിക സേവന പദ്ധതികൾ തുടങ്ങിയവ ഇതിന്റെ  ഭാഗമാണ്. 

എല്ലാവർക്കും നാളെ എന്നത് മികച്ച ഭാവി തന്നെ ആയിരിക്കണം ; അതിലേക്ക് ഒന്നിച്ചു വളരുക തന്നെ വേണം ; ഇതാണ്  ഹാബിറ്റാറ്റ് സ്‌കൂളുകളുടെ കാഴ്‌ചപ്പാടെന്നും അതിലേക്കുള്ള സാക്ഷാത്കാരത്തിന്റെ പുതിയ ചുവടുവെയ്പാണ് “ഹാബിറ്റാറ്റ് ഫോർ ടുമോറോ” എന്നും സ്‌കൂൾ ചെയർമാൻ ഷെയ്ഖ് സുൽത്താൻ അൽ നുഐമി വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

ജീവകാരുണ്യ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്കായി സ്കൂളിന് ഇതിനകം തന്നെ “ഹാബിറ്റാറ്റ് ഫോർ ഹോപ്പ് ” എന്ന പദ്ധതിയുണ്ട്. തികച്ചും അതുല്യമായ വേനലവധി പ്രൊജക്റ്റ് ആയ “ലെറ്റസ്‌ ഗ്രോ ദിസ് സമ്മർ” പ്രോജക്ടിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി  കുട്ടികൾ 15531 മരങ്ങൾ വച്ചുപിടിപ്പിക്കുകയും ആശുപത്രികളും നിർധന ഭവനങ്ങളുമൊക്കെയായി 15439 സന്ദർശനങ്ങൾ നടത്തുകയും മുതിർന്നവരുമായി 53946 പുതിയ ആശയ സംവാദങ്ങൾ നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്‌തു. 

ഒരു സ്കൂൾ അവിടുത്തെ കുട്ടികളിലൂടെ ഇത്തരം കാര്യങ്ങൾ സാധ്യമാക്കുന്പോൾ അതെല്ലാം നിരവധി  കുടുംബങ്ങളിൽ എത്തുകയും അതുവഴി സമൂഹത്തിൽ വലിയൊരു മാറ്റത്തിന്റെ സൂചന നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുകയാണെന്ന് മാനേജിങ് ഡയറക്ടർ ഷംസു സമാൻ CT അറിയിച്ചു.

പദ്ധതിയുടെ പ്രാരംഭ പരിപാടിയായ “സ്പോട്ട് & റിപ്പോർട്ട്” തികച്ചും വിദ്യാർഥികൾ തന്നെ നയിക്കുന്ന സംരംഭമാണ്. പൊതുസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ട നിലയിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഷോപ്പിംഗ് ട്രോളികൾ ചിലരുടെ അശ്രദ്ധ കാരണമാണെങ്കിൽ മറ്റു ചിലർ അത് തന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട്  വിലപിടിച്ച സമയം ചിലവാക്കുകയാണ്. ട്രോളി നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട സൂപ്പർ ഹൈപ്പർ മാർക്കെറ്റുകളിലെ ജീവനക്കാർ സമയവും ഊർജ്ജവും ഏറെ ചിലവഴിച്ചാണ് ഇവ തെരഞ്ഞുനടക്കുന്നത്. സാമൂഹിക പ്രതിബദ്ധതയുള്ള കർത്തവ്യങ്ങളുമായി കുട്ടികളെ ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ് ഈ പദ്ധതിയുടെ പ്രാഥമിക ലക്‌ഷ്യം. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് ചുറ്റുപാടുകളോടുള്ള മനോഭാവത്തിൽ മാറ്റമുണ്ടാക്കാനും പൗര ബോധവും ഉത്തരവാദിത്ത ബോധവും സൃഷ്ടിക്കാനും ഇതുപകരിക്കും.

Inspiring Performances mark School Day celebrations at International Indian School

30 Jan 2020 Ajman: International Indian School celebrated its school day ORYX 2020 with a festive spirit marking the occasion, featuring performances by students. The performances were theme based delved on issues of contemporary concerns like Global warming, Tolerance, Empowering the girl child, Parents Aspiration, Schooling, Patriotism and Old age challenges. The show was watched by more than 5000 spectators on 29th and 30th January 2020.

Chairman of Habitat Schools, H.E Sheikh Sultan Bin Saqr Al Nuaimi was the honorable Chief Guest on the second day. Managing Director, Mr. Shamsu Zaman graced the occasion on both days. Official of Habitat Corporate office CEO (Academics)Mr. Adil C.T, C.A.O Ms. Sunita Chibber, C.F.O Mr.Ganesh Krishnan, Dean Academics and Innovation Mr. Wasim Yousuf Bhat, Principals of sister Habitat schools and other officials were present to witness the events.

Ms. Nada Mohammed Buftaim, Head of Educational Control Department, MOE and Dr. Zakir Mohammed were Guests of Honour on the first day. Mr. Abbas El Neel, Legal Consultant to His Highness, the Ruler of Ajman, Mr. Ali Hasan, Director-Ajman Educational Zone and Mr. Ashraf Thamarassery, Social activist were Guests of Honour on the second day. On both days, Principal Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain apprised the audience of the achievements of the school including the outstanding performance in the CBSE board examinations and presented the school report of the year. On the second day, subject toppers of CBSE Examination (2018-2019) were felicitated and awarded certificates by the Chief Guest. Teaching faculty members who completed 10 years of service at school were also felicitated.

The most memorable moments of the function were marked by the many innovative, inspiring and mesmerizing performances put up by the students. The celebrations concluded with a resolve to pass further milestones in the school’s journey of care and development of students.

ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ സ്കൂൾ ഒറിക്‌സ് 2020 ആഘോഷിച്ചു 

ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ സ്കൂളിന്റെ വാർഷികം  ഒറിക്സ് ( 2019 -2020 ) ജനുവരി 29 , 30 തിയ്യതികളിൽ വിപുലമായി  ആഘോഷിച്ചു വിശിഷ്ടവ്യക്തികളുടെയും, ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ട അതിഥികളുടെയും സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ  ചടങ്ങ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു .പാഠ്യവിഷയങ്ങളിലും പാഠ്യേതരവിഷയങ്ങളിലുമുള്ള വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ നേട്ടങ്ങൾ ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ ഖൂറത്ത് ഉൽ അയ്ൻ  വിലയിരുത്തി . 2018 -2019 അദ്ധ്യയനവർഷത്തിൽ സി .ബി .എസ് .ഇ ബോർഡ് പരീക്ഷകളിൽ ഉന്നത വിജയം കരസ്ഥമാക്കിയ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് ഉപഹാരങ്ങൾ നൽകി . വിദ്യാർഥികളുടെ  സർഗ്ഗവാസനയ്ക്ക് മുൻ‌തൂക്കം നൽകുന്ന വിദ്യാലയത്തിന്റെ ഇത്തവണത്തെ കലാപരിപാടികളും ഹൃദ്യമായിരുന്നു . 

ഇളംതലമുറ മൂല്യബോധം ഉള്ളവരായി വളരണം എന്ന ഉദ്ദേശ്യത്തോടെ മാനുഷികമൂല്യങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രാധാന്യം കൊടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കുരുന്നുകളുടെ കലാവിരുന്ന് നയനാകർഷകമായി. കുട്ടികളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങളും പ്രതീക്ഷകളും , കുട്ടികളുടെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ കാലഘട്ടം ,ദേശഭക്തി , സഹിഷ്ണുത ,സ്ത്രീശാക്തീകരണം ,വാർദ്ധക്യം നേരിടുന്ന വെല്ലുവിളികൾ, ആഗോളതാപനം , മുതലായ  വിഷയങ്ങൾക്കു ഊന്നൽ കൊടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കലാപരിപാടികളായിരുന്നു വിദ്യാർഥികൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത് .

SCHOOL DAY CELEBRATION AT HABITAT SCHOOL UMM AL QUWAIN

Umm al Quwain: Habitat School Umm Al Quwain celebrated its School Day, Falconite
2 and the KG Graduation Ceremony, with unprecedented fanfare on the evening
of 23rd January, 2020. The school tapped its talents and treated the audience to a
mesmerizing musical theater presentation of change – from the formation of Earth to the present day. The school premises were the venue which served as the perfect backdrop
to showcase the artistic skills of students.
The evening was marked by the eminent presence of Chairman, Habitat Schools, UAE, H.E Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Managing Director, Mr.Shamsu Zaman,
C.E.O(Academics) Mr.Adil C.T, C.A.O Ms. Sunita Chibber, C.F.O Mr. Ganesh Krishnan,
Dean Academics Mr. Wasim Yousuf Bhat, Principals of sister Habitat schools, officials
from the corporate office and other distinguished guests.

The event was inaugurated by the chief guest and the guests of honour. School
Principal, Dr. Beno Kurien elaborated on the achievements of the school in scholastic
and non-scholastic areas including the stellar performance of students in the CBSE
board examinations. The Principal expressed appreciation for the whole school team
and parental support which enabled Habitat School Umm al Quwain move forward.
Subject toppers of CBSE Board Examination 2018-19 were felicitated for their academic
excellence and received certificates by the chief guest. All the subject teachers were
also felicitated for good results.
The performances were a journey narrated by a character who personified, ‘time’. The
narration unfolded in the mystery of the evolution of earth and life, and illustrated the
magnificent transformation of humans throughout ages. Major discoveries, inventions
and innovations encompassing areas of culture, education, agriculture, environment,
technology, sports, society, and cinema were beautifully depicted through specially
choreographed dance moves and powerful skits. For their perfect coordination these
acts stole the hearts of the audience. Beautifully sung songs added to the atmosphere
an amazing enthusiasm, drawing loud cheers from the audience.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, delivered by the school vice principal Ms.
Sheeba Ibrahim.

“ചേഞ്ച്” എന്ന വിഷയത്തെ ആസ്പദമാക്കി നടത്തിയ ഈ പരുപാടി, മനുഷ്യന്റെ ആരംഭ ഘട്ടം മുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെ എത്തി നിൽക്കുന്ന നൂതന സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യയിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രയാണത്തെയും, മനുഷ്യരാശിക്കുണ്ടായ സാമൂഹികവും സാംസ്കാരികവുമായ മാറ്റങ്ങളെയും വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന കലാപരിപാടികളിലൂടെ ഭംഗിയായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. തികച്ചും വ്യത്യസ്തമായ രീതിയിൽ അവതരിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഈ പരുപാടി രക്ഷകർത്താക്കളുടെയും അതിഥികളുടെയും പ്രത്യേക പ്രശംസ പിടിച്ചു പറ്റി.
